Local Welsh Conservative Paul Davies has returned to the Senedd to represent the people of Cerdigion Penfro, after being re-elected in the Senedd elections on the 7th May.
The Welsh Conservatives received 14, 879 votes, which saw Mr Davies take the fourth seat in the constituency, under the new electoral arrangements.
Mr Davies thanked his supporters and pledged to stand up for local services and local communities at the Senedd.
Mr Davies said, "It's an honour to represent the new constituency of Ceredigion Penfro and I'm very thankful to everyone who voted for the Welsh Conservatives in this election. It's a bittersweet result because my friend and colleague Samuel Kurtz wasn't re-elected with me. He is a passionate advocate for west Wales and the Senedd will be a poorer place without him."
He added, "Throughout the campaign, people across the constituency made it clear that they felt overlooked and underrepresented and I'll be doing everything I can to stand up for local people, local services, and local businesses to ensure their voices are heard.
"I've got a track record of delivering for local communities throughout my time as the Senedd Member for Preseli Pembrokeshire and I'll be building on that experience in my new role."
